Start with the rigged weight
A boat weighs more than the bare hull – add the engine, fuel, batteries and gear, then pick a trailer with 15–20% capacity reserve. Small boats and RIBs fit light trailers up to 750 kg; bigger motorboats need braked models. See boat trailers and transport carts.
Length and hull support
Check the maximum boat length in the model specification – overhang limits apply. The hull should rest on keel and side rollers with an adjustable axle, and a winch makes launching easy. After salt water, always rinse the trailer with fresh water to protect the galvanised frame.
Paddlesports and jet skis
Light craft do well on simple carts and open trailers – see water sports and accessories (straps, supports, covers). Unsure about the total weight? Message us with your boat model and we will match a trailer.
