One bike fits a light trailer
A road motorcycle usually weighs 180–250 kg, so an unbraked trailer up to 750 kg leaves plenty of reserve – towable on a plain B licence. For two heavy machines or a quad, choose a braked model with higher payload. See MC motorcycle trailers.
What to look for?
The essentials are a rigid platform, wheel chocks and lashing points, plus a loading ramp for solo loading. For longer trips, a cover protects against dirt and stones – check trailer accessories.
Quads and machinery
A quad is wider and heavier than a bike – measure its track width and pick a platform with reserve. For plant and municipal machines, a universal trailer with a low loading angle from vehicle transport works better.
